Serious solar for a sunny yard, without touching your roof. Two large bifacial panels on ground racking feed an APsystems microinverter that plugs into a standard outdoor outlet, turning sunlight into power your home uses right away, so you buy less from the grid.

  • Offsets a meaningful chunk of daytime power use, about 9% to 29% of an average home's bill
  • Easy, quick self-install solar power with no roof work
  • Made for renters and homeowners. Take it with you when you move!

What's included

  • Two 440W bifacial solar panels (Hanersun, 15-year product warranty, 30-year power warranty)
  • Metal ground-mount racking for both panels (SunModo)
  • One APsystems EZ1-LV plug-in microinverter with power cord and standard plug (UL 1741 / UL 3700, 12-year warranty)
  • Four panel-to-inverter connection cables
  • Optional add-on: EZ1 Zero Export APmeter (choose the kit with the APmeter in the options)

Monitoring is through the free AP EasyPower app. No battery is included.

Want to keep your solar from sending extra power back to the grid? Add the optional APsystems EZ1 Zero Export APmeter. It watches your home's power use at the electrical panel and automatically turns your solar down when your home isn't using it all. It is handy if you don’t want to send extra energy back to the grid, and it is installed at your electrical panel by a qualified electrician.

How it works

The panels turn sunlight into electricity, and the EZ1 microinverter makes it usable for your home. Set the panels up on their racking in a sunny, unshaded spot in your yard, connect each panel to the microinverter, and plug the system into a suitable outdoor outlet. Watch your solar production in the app. Your home uses your solar power first, so you draw less from the grid while the sun is shining.

Before you install

You will need a dedicated circuit with a properly grounded, GFCI-protected outdoor outlet, and any circuit or outlet work is a job for a qualified electrician. Check the rules where you live: state, local government, your utility, and your landlord or HOA if you have one, before you buy or install. This is grid-connected solar that works alongside your utility service, not backup power during an outage.

880W is rated panel capacity, not guaranteed production. Actual output depends on sunlight, placement and temperature. Check with your utility that your meter and billing can handle exported solar before buying. If your utility requires zero export, choose the kit with the APmeter.
