Backup power for your essentials when the grid goes down, and solar savings the rest of the time. The EcoFlow STREAM Ultra pairs a 1.92kWh battery with a built-in microinverter, so you can save on your bill and be prepared for the next power outage.
- Keeps essentials running during a power outage
- Stores extra solar for evening use
- Works with or without solar: it can help lower your bill by charging when power is cheaper and powering your home when it costs more

Monitoring and energy bill optimization is free through the EcoFlow app.
Works with or without solar
The Ultra can help lower your bill on its own. In the EcoFlow app you can schedule your battery to charge when power is cheaper (like overnight) and to power your home when it costs the most (like early evening). Buy it by itself or pair it with solar panels for even more bill savings.
Savings depend on your rates, how much power your home uses and how you set it up.
How it works
Connect solar panels to the Ultra and plug it into a suitable outlet. Your home uses solar power first. Extra solar charges the battery, and the battery steps in when you tell it to, so you buy less from the grid. On its own the Ultra delivers up to 1200W to your home, and up to 2000W when it is paired with an EcoFlow STREAM microinverter.
In a grid outage the STREAM Ultra stops sending power to the grid for safety. To use your STREAM Ultra during an outage, unplug it from the wall and then plug appliances straight into its outlets to use the stored battery or solar power. It is not whole-home backup power. It can take up to 3 seconds to switch to the battery, so it is not for devices that can never lose power.
Add more solar
You can pair the STREAM Ultra with an EcoFlow STREAM microinverter to bring in more solar power. While the grid is up, this lifts the Ultra's output to your home from 1200W to up to 2000W. The microinverter is sold separately and has its own warranty.
Warranty
The STREAM Ultra has a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty. Coverage starts on delivery for the original purchaser. Read the manufacturer's warranty policy for full terms.
Before you install
We recommend a dedicated circuit with a properly grounded, GFCI-protected outlet, and any circuit or outlet work is a job for a qualified electrician. Plug-in solar rules differ by state, so you may need utility approval. Check the rules where you live: state, local government, your utility, and your landlord or HOA if you have one, before you buy or install. This is grid-connected solar that works alongside your utility service.
Actual output and savings depend on sunlight, panel placement, battery use and how much power your home uses.
