Already have solar panels, or want to build your own setup? The EcoFlow STREAM microinverter is the key piece that turns panel power into electricity your home can use.

Connect up to four panels, plug it into a suitable outlet, and your home uses your solar power first, so you buy less from the grid while the sun is shining.

  • Use panels you already own, or build your own plug-in solar setup
  • Connect up to four panels, up to 1,200W total
  • Plugs into a standard outlet
  • Watch your solar production in the free EcoFlow app

What's included

Pair it with an EcoFlow STREAM Ultra battery later to save extra solar for the evening. Monitoring is through the free EcoFlow app. Solar panels and batteries are sold separately.

How it works

Solar panels connect to the microinverter with standard solar (MC4) cables. The microinverter converts their power into household electricity and feeds it into your home through a standard outlet. Your home uses that solar power first, so you draw less from the grid.

By default the microinverter feeds in 360W. You can raise it up to 1,200W in the EcoFlow app when your circuit supports it - see Before you install.

Which panels work with it

Check any panel you plan to use against the manufacturer's specifications before connecting it: its voltage and current must fit the microinverter's input limits, and it needs MC4-compatible connectors. A panel's voltage rises in cold weather, so check its open-circuit voltage rating, not just its operating voltage. You can connect up to four panels, up to 1,200W in total, and two of the four inputs share one power tracker, so how panels are arranged across the inputs matters. Our EcoFlow kit guide covers the input layout in detail, and we are happy to help check the compatibility of a specific panel before you buy.

Before you install

You will need a dedicated circuit with a properly grounded, GFCI-protected outlet. Any circuit or outlet work is a job for a qualified electrician, and an electrician can also confirm whether your circuit is suitable for the output setting you plan to use. Check the rules where you live: state, local government, your utility, and your landlord or HOA if you have one, before you buy or install. This is grid-connected equipment that works alongside your utility service, not backup power during an outage.

Certifications and warranty

EcoFlow lists the STREAM microinverter as certified to UL 1741 and UL 3700. These are component-level certifications for the microinverter itself, not a certification of a whole plug-in solar system. It comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty from EcoFlow.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it during a power outage? No. It is grid-connected and stops supplying power when the grid goes down.

Do I need an electrician? Plug in solar kits can be self-installed. Plan on using a GFCI-protected outlet and dedicated circuit for panel power greater than 360W. A qualified electrician should confirm your circuit is suitable and handle any circuit or outlet work.

How many panels can I connect? Up to four panels. The maximum output power is 1200W, but it may be helpful to "oversize" your kit, such as using 4 x 440W panels, to get the most power from your setup.

Can I add a battery later? Yes. It works with the EcoFlow STREAM Ultra battery, sold separately.

Which panels are compatible? That depends on the panel's voltage and current fitting the microinverter's input limits, including its cold-weather open-circuit voltage, and on how panels are arranged across the inputs. Check the panel's specifications against the manufacturer's documentation first, or ask us to check for you.
