The most coverage you can get without calling a contractor.
Ten panels, five inverters, 2,000 watts. This is the top of the plug-in solar range, and it's genuinely impressive for what it is: a system designed to offset a substantial share of a home's daily electricity use, installed by the homeowner, without a permit or a crew.
If you've been waiting to see if plug-in solar was "worth it," this is the version that answers that question with large savings on your utility bill.
What's in the Box
10 x 200W bifacial semi-flexible solar panels (23.5% cell efficiency)
5 x 350W smart inverters, ETL-certified to UL 1741 and IEEE 1547
4 x Inverter Connector Cables
1 x Smart PowerMeter with CT sensors
Mounting hardware
AC cable (standard outlet connection)
App
Who This is For
This kit is for homeowners and renters who have enough ground or balcony space for ten panels and want the most offset this product category can deliver. It's also a smart starting point if you're planning to add battery storage: the Smart PowerMeter and app infrastructure are already in place, and Craftstrom's battery units connect directly to the same system.
If your goal is to maximize what you produce without going the permitted solar route, this setup is for you.
How it Works
The system plugs into a standard outlet. The included Smart PowerMeter attaches to your electrical panel and monitors your home's real-time power consumption.
The system is designed to stay within your home's own consumption. The inverters adjust output every 0.1 seconds so the system only produces what your home is already using.Â
No power flows back to the grid, so your setup is effectively invisible to the utility. That means no interconnection agreement required with your utility.Â
(Regulations on plug-in solar vary by state and utility; check your local rules before installing.)
What it Powers
At 2,000W capacity, this system can produce around 3,400–3,800 kWh per year in typical U.S. conditions, which represents close to a third of what an average American home uses annually (around 10,500 kWh). It handles refrigeration, lighting, device charging, and a window AC or electric water heater running part of the day with capacity to spare.
